We are offering.
Everyone gets three days 'hands on' experience in the day to day running at Abhainn Dearg Distillery with a bottle of Spirit of Lewis and completion certificate.
The opportunity to make traditional Outer Hebridean Spirit.
The option of purchasing a specially made 30 litre cask (either wine or whisky) of New Spirit to take home, or leave for maturation in our bonded warehouse.
Included in Option 1:

(Option of spending Monday and Thursday nights in 3 Star Caberfeidh Hotel add £100 per person)
Monday.
Arrive Isle of Lewis
Bed and Breakfast at four star B&B
Tuesday.
Transport to Abhainn Dearg Distillery, if required.
Lunch,
Dinner,Bed and Breakfast at Gallan Head Hotel, Uig.
Wednesday.
Transport to and from Abhainn Dearg Distillery, if required.
Packed Lunch,
Dinner, Bed and Breakfast at Gallan Head Hotel.
Thursday.
Warehouse duties, casking and bottling. Labeling
Purchase agreement and delivery arranged (UK) of Cask. If you have your own transport then they you can take it with you. (cask option)

Costs:
Option 2:
The Abhainn Dearg Experience excluding accommodation and cask £300.00
Residents on Lewis/Harris
If you are resident on the islands then we have a special reduced rate of £280, excludes accommodation, meals and transport.
Cask
The cost ofthe special hand made cask of New Spirit is £850.00 - should you wish to leave your cask in the bonded warehouse to mature then duty and storage costs will apply.
- Parties of two or three participants can share a cask, however one person in the group must be liable for its purchase.
Payment:
*The cost of the course EXCLUDING the cask must be paid in full on confirmation of booking. Confirmation must be within seven days of booking.
Payment for New Spirit, duty and taxes should be paid directly to Abhainn Dearg Distillery on the last day (Thursday) along with any transportation costs.
Dates:
The course will run every week throughout the winter from 16th November 2009 through till 10th May 2010. Christmas and New Year excluded!
Warning:
Adverse Travel Conditions: travel to the island can occasionally be disrupted due to bad weather. Where there are ferry/plane disruptions due to weather conditions, technical fault/breakdown or any form of industrial action, Abhainn Dearg Distillery and its associates cannot be held responsible for non-arrival and no refunds can be given.
Should transportation cause delays (it is winter) then we will try our best to arrange around the delay or late arrival of participants so nobody misses anything.
Protect your holiday: to minimize the cost and inconvenience of cancelled bookings we strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance. You may otherwise have to forfeit the full cost of your holiday in certain circumstances.
Vehicles/personal property: vehicles, accessories and contents are left at Abhainn Dearg Distillery, Gallan Head and the Caberfeidh Hotel at their owner’s risk.
The proprietors will not be held responsible for any loss or damage or any injury to persons not caused through the fault of the proprietors.
Restrictions: We reserve the right to remove any person or persons from the distillery due to unreasonable behavior, damage to the property or endangering others. In this case any refund will be at the discretion of the owners.
Note:
The distillery is located in a remote part of the island so there is no Internet or Mobile Phone signal available. The Distillery landline is available for emergency use only.
The nearest doctors surgery is 20 minutes away by car.
The nearest town is Stornoway approximately 45 minutes by car.
Cancellation
Cancellations must be received in writing either by email or letter. The date this is received by us, prior to the course, will determine the cancellation charges. These charges are expressed as a percentage of the total price, and are as follows:
More than 28 days: 25 %.
More than 15 days: 50 %.
Less than 14 days 100%.
If the course can be re-booked 90% =10% admin charge.
